I have been with Information Technology Services since 2006 and am currently a Systems Support Specialist III. I currently manage the Student Technical Services group (approximately 19 FTE), work as a first and second level support technician for our Employee Technical Services group, and assists in training newly enrolled freshman as well as newly hired university staff. I also help to administer our ticketing system on campus and collaborate with other colleges and departments.
I believe the best part of my job is assisting others. I really enjoy working with the student employees, helping them grow and watching them become young adults. It is very rewarding to see them succeed and become more confident. I also enjoy helping customers – answering their questions, troubleshooting their problems and helping them get back to work as quickly as possible. Knowing that I have made their day at least a little less stressful is worthwhile and rewarding.
